Trouble printing .mht files

When I export files with OneNote to .mht format, they look fine in both
Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0. But they print badly in both. Bottoms of
pages get cut off and so I can't read the entire note. Note, I'm using
OneNote on a Gateway tablet pc, so these notes are handwritten notes (text
and equations, with an occasional inserted picture). Anyone else have this
problem? Or a suggestion?

Warren,

Printing of HTML files (and so of .mht files) is always a bit
problematic.

I would suggest that you print from OneNote rather than from the .mht
file. OneNote has a Print Preview option to let you see how it will
print.

If the preview doesn't look right then think of sending it to Word.

If I had material in OneNote that I wanted to print with a specific
layout I would export it to Word and tweak layout there as needed. In
OneNote SP1 there is an option on the File menu of Send to Word.

Andrew -
Given the availability of features in OneNote, printing from within OneNote
vs the mht file in IE would make sense. However, not everyone has OneNote
and IE is pretty common. Therefor in order to share my notes (meeting
agenda, meeting minutes, etc) I publish them to mht files so that the rest of
my team can see them. So in order to bring paper copies into a meeting their
only option is to print from within IE.

I'm a little suprised the print preview in OneNote isn't better.
Additionally I'm suprised that the mht file prints the way it does. Also,
when publishing to mht, some of the formatting is lost from OneNote. I
really like the product and use it a lot. I just find it frusterating that
these issues are simple and very present.

I agree with Andrew,

I really would like to have the option to export a Onenote document to
something other than MS Word. If the .mht export worked well I would be happy.
I found that when I publish (export) to .mht some of the ink is very
light, or missing as compared to the OneNote document. I wish that I did not
need to convert all of the ink to text in order to create a good .mht file.

Does anyone else have problems with the quality of .mht files that were
created (or exported) from Onenote? Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike
