trouble ranking data...

For some reason I am having trouble ranking a set of numbers.

In this scenario I have a set of random numbers in cells E2 - E133. In cell
F2 I type the following =rank(E:E,E:E,1) to rank the data in E. That works
fine, but then when I copy F2 and highlight F3 - F133 and then paste it all I
get is the F2 result. Now if I go down the column and dbl click each cell
the convert to the correct E column data...

What am I doing wrong here that my whole column will not rank for me? DO I
have something locked or protected??

Thanks in advance.
