Trouble renameing tables

[how do I rename a table in Access 2007?]

I am having a lot of trouble renaming tables.
I right click on the table and choose 'rename'
The table name is highlited and then when I try to put the cursor on the
name the renameing process closes.

I have tried many ways to fool the program. The best seems to be to click
the Rename option and then immeadiatly press a left or right arrow key. The
table name becomes editable.

I have noticed that this problem has been there from the beginning of Access
2007.

The other problem is saving. I now go thru may gyrations to make sure that
what I want saved is saved. Just because you click save does not mean it
saves. Access 2007 crashes on a regular basis and very often when it comes
back the last half hour of work, even though saved, is not there.

Has anyone elses found these problems.

I like the new Access but I do notice that if I need to put a database
together quickly I use a computer with Access 2003 cuz I do not want to have
to deal with the problems that come with the new Access 2007.

Sounds like an (hidden) form runs a timer.

Open your database while holding the shift button.
Take a look at either the start form property or inspect the AutoExec macro.

I'm experiencing neither of these issues in working with Access 2007.

Can you describe a bit more about the environment in which this is
happening? (e.g., the PC, the LAN, ...)

I have a user that is experiencing the same problems, both renaming and
saving. Another user on the same network using the same system image does not
have the problem. Could this be permission based or is there a setting that
has been changed?
