Trouble Saving documents

D

DJ Mac

Frequently, when writing long documents, after saving my work several
times, Word will not let me save or print. I get message that I have
too many documents open, when I have no others opened.

Hi

You don't say what version of Word you are using, so it's hard to offer
suggestions.

Older versions of Word will generate this message if you save a document
more than 60 times without closing it.

Does this sound like the problem? If so, just close the document once in a
while.

There is no newer version yet. Make sure you have all the latest fixes
applied to your copy of Word.

You will also experience the problem with certain servers if your file is on
a network. In which case, work on your hard disk locally, and use Finder to
transfer the file when you have finished.

And yes, the problem is fixed in the next version of Word, when it appears.

Cheers

I am using Office X. Does this problem go away with a newer version? Thanks
