trouble saving

I haven't noticed a virus (checker is up to date and
happy) but starting last week whenever I try to save a
file, it's either taking a long time (4-6 min) for the
folder to open, if it opens at all.
Has anyone else encountered this? I'm on XP home, word
02. I thought the shut down would reset what it needed,
but I have the same problem this morning. A defrag
seemed to help some, but not entirely. Thanks Kelly

Hi

Guess no one has replied cos this type of problem is probably an Window's XP
problem.

Are other programs/extensions affected?

If so, start by trying to see what program is using all your memory.

If you haven't got a program like 'AdAware' to check running processes, at
least have a look in Task Manager to see if a process is using up all your
memory.

You'll need to narrow down your 'suspects' before someone can give you spot
on advice.
