trouble sending mail in outlook

Suddenly I can no longer send or reply to email in Outlook.
This is the message I get...
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Account: 'Adoption', Server: 'SMTP.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP,
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
I have tried several of the things from earlier posts but no luck.
Can anyone help?
