Trouble with account asking for password no send/receive

My Verizon account and subaccount will not send nor receive but continue to
give me a message to enter password - it continues popping upt the message
even after passwords are entered. Verizon says it is not their problem even
though it is happening on two different computers.
Anyone familiar with this?

Are these POP3 accounts?
What version of Outlook are you using?
Do you get the same results when you only configure one account?

They are Pop accounts.
Outlook 2003. Same results even after deleting the subaccount.
It's interesting, I have another SBC account (we recently moved) and that is
working fine. Wouldn't that indicate the problem lies with Verizon?
Thanks
