Trouble with Form connect to Linked Table

Hello All,

I have a front-end database that accesses a back-end
database that exists on another server located across the
country.

I have a Form that is based on a linked table. The
performance is tremendously slow when I open it or try to
add/update a record. I've index the table but it hasn't
increased performance.

What would you suggest I do to overcome this little
obstacle?
