trouble with number format from access db to word form

I have an access database that has certain numbers in currency format. It
merges into a microsoft word form. However when I perform the merge, the
numbers do not come up in currency format. I changed a setting in Word under
options/general to check confirm conversion on open. This corrected some but
not all of the errors.
This is for an important tax project, so the numbers must be rounded and
displayed properly. I'd appreciate any help or even online collaboration.

The merge code sample is at the URL below. It works from a button click
event on your form. Change the variable names (text box names) to match
yours.

for that. Look at the samples. You'll figure it out. It really isn't that
difficult.
