Good afternoon,
I am struggling to patch the Office 2000 installation on one of our servers.
This is an NT 4 TS box, and is used as our Citrix server. We publish several
applications through Citrix, many of which really on Access 2000 databases
for the backend data.
We have been having several problems with Access- all of which I believe
could be corrected by installing SP1 and SP2. Therin lies the problem.
No matter how I try to run Office Update, I always get the same error:
"Error 1305. Error reading from file:
F:\WTSRV\Fonts\SYMBOL.TTF. Verify that the file exists and that you can
access it."
I have reinstalled this font from the Fonts folder in Control Panel, and it
looks fine. At first, it was misnamed if you right-clicked, and went to
Properities. It was also listed as 0k.
Now, the font looks fine. I used the same font from another Windows NT
server. Is there a better way to do this? Extracting the file from the i386
directory or some such?
I have searched on Deja for this group, and the only hits I found pointed to
KB article 248263. I have followed all of these instructions to no avail.
Please! There has to be some way to patch Office on this server. I'm pulling
my hair out here.
Thanks in advance,
