Hi

I have a different problem... We have about 10 different kinds o
project plan and we have created about 6-7 tables for different kinds o
views... It so happens is that sometimes the tables go missing from th
menu... I have tried copying it from the previous version of the projec
plan, but that is really being tedious. Is there any way I can actuall
make sure that the tables are visible for all the project plans. Pleas
help!!

beena,
Your best bet is to use the Organizer to copy all your custom settings
(e.g. view, view table, filters, etc.) from whatever files they
currently reside in and put them in your Project Global. Then those
items will be available for any Project file that you open or create.

Hope this helps.

Thank you John... The tables are already in project global, atleast it
shows that views from "Global.MPT". In case I need to modify this file,
can you please let me know how to do it... This would be realy helpful.
Thanks a lot

Beena,
If you are using Project Server then the Global is an Enterprise Global
and only users with administration rights can change it. However if you
are using a stand alone version of Project then you modify your Global
by changing the item (i.e. view, table, filter, etc.), in the current
active file and then use the Organizer to overwrite the Global version
of that item. For example, let's say you change the view Table for the
Gantt Chart view in your current file. After you have it looking the way
you want, go to the Organizer and copy the modified view table from the
current file to the Global file.

Rest assured that you can always get the default Global back so don't be
concerned about changing things in the active Global.

Hope this helps.
