Troubled index creation

Hi!

I have one problem and I would appreciate some help:

I have document with 70+ pages, with multiple sections and THIS IS
CRUCIAL document has to be in ONE document (not two or more separate
documents included in one with fields).
The pages in this document must be in the following order:

1st page: page without page numbers /title page/
2nd page: totaly empty
3rd page: index generated with TOC field which can be one page or
more, depending on the following document / headings
4th page: empty page
5th and more: rest of doument with Heading 1 style defined with page
break before (5th page must be with the number 1 page nuber in footer)

I use styles, page breaks, fields but i cannot create index with
correct page numbers (they are larger than page numbers like page 5
must be 1, page 6 must be 2 etc.).

Is it possible to create TOC field with certain number of pages
subtracted like TOC-5 for this example? It must be automatic because
on 3rd page is index which can be 1 page long or more - like on 5
pages so we must subtract 9 from the TOC?

If this isn't possible with fields, can it be done with Visual Basic?
Any ideas?

Best regards,

Hi UdesBay,

After your TOC, delete whatever page break you have and insert a 'next page' *Section* break. In View|Header and Footer, uncheck
'link to previous' for the new Section's footer. Now insert a page # field in the footer and format it to start at 1. Finally,
update your TOC.
