Troubles With Email Hyperlinks

Hello, I am a novice at Access. I changed the data type in my email field to
hyperlink from text to be able to send emails directly from the database.
When I did this it deleted all of the emails in the database (thank God I had
backup). Now when I try to enter an email address (mailto:[email protected]) I get
an error message saying "Not a valid bookmark." Help!!!!

(e-mail address removed) is text

your field type should not be hyperlink .... it should be text...
