Troubleshoot default font color for replies & forwards

I'm using Outlook 2003 and all of a sudden my default font color for reply
and forwarded messages changed and it's not letting me revert to my
preference. When I go to Email options, it's not letting me change the font
color.

In Word the email font color is what I selected. In Outlook it's different.
Word is my default email editor.

Please help. Thank you.
