Troubleshoot GMLink

We use GoldMine as our database and in the past we have been able to merge
with Word to do a group of letters. All of a sudden, we have started getting
this Microsoft Word alarm "This document contains one or more links to other
files. Do you want to update this document with the data from the linked
files?" We can't figure out what the data from the linked files is. We have a
group from GoldMine that we merge the Word letter with and it should print a
letter to each individual in our group. We have a macro in Word that pulls
the name and address information from GoldMine in our merge. Our merge ends
up printing the letter to only one person in the group and the number of
copies that we wanted to print to several people. Please help us out if you
can. Thank you so very much! Patricia

The reason you are now encountered the message is due to a security
patch Microsoft implemented about a year ago.

Someone came up with the idea that certain fields, such as LINK
fields, could be used to obtain data from documents on your computer
without your knowledge and Microsoft created a security patch as a
result.

So now if you open a document that contains links to other documents
and if Word is attempting to update the links you will be notified.

For more information on Word field vulnerability and to download an
add-in you can use to easily modify the field security level take a
look at this article:
