Troubleshoot Number List Style

My List style changes when I format one word in the
sentence.

1. Line One <---If I make the second word bold, The
number "1." changes to Bold too

2. Line Two

I can go to each and every list in my 200 page doc and use
Bullets and Numbering>Format which works but I'd rather
find a faster, global way of fixing this(I probably have
50 numbered lists - it's a software manual).

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

One or more paragraph styles have been set to automatically update.

No, that's not it. Automicaaly Update is turned off.

You're absolutely right; it seems to be a completely different issue.

Select the paragraph mark of the numbered item and make sure it is not bold.
