When I try to insert clipart into a Word doc. it only shows the placeholder
but not the picture. If I click on the placeholder it turns into dots instead
of a line. If I right click on the placeholder and choose "edit picture" it
will then show the picture. If the picture is a jpg. it won't give me that
option. It will however show both jpg's and clipart files in the reading
layout view but none of the others.
I have tried lowering the acceleration, and updating graphics drivers. I
have reinstalled Office 2003 Proff. Tech support for emachines could not fix
it either. They suggested the "quick restore"disc which I will do only as a
last resort. I think the problem is a configuration setting somewhere in
Office. Powerpoint has lots of "bugs" in it also where things won't work
right. Any advise?
