Troubleshooting Sharepoint portal 2003

We are facing peculiar problem



1. We are unable to view/Upload documents in document
Library

2. While creating new document library icons for
image lib. and doc. lib. are not appearing.

3. For accessing the site we have to exclusively
specify default.aspx, otherwise it throws page not found
error. for eg http://<sitename> gives error, we need to
specify http://<sitename>/default.aspx



FYI: above mentioned issues are arising after installing
Visual Studio 2003, before that site was working fine.

Please send us the solution as soon as possible .
