truncation of memo field through officelink in reports to windows in xp

When converting a report in access xp to word xp it truncates the memo
field on some records. The report looks fine in preview in reports, but some
words are truncated when it is converted through office links Is there a
work around.

I've noticed this on Access reports too, and have had to break up the memo
text into 255 byte chunks.
Mid(memofield,1, 255) & Mid(memofield,256, 255) & etc
