In our default configuration of Office 2007 that setting (found in Trust
Center - Trust Center Settings - Macro Settings) is unchecked (disabled) and
grayed out in all the products. I have located the Group Policy settings to
enable the setting for each product, but I can't find the setting that will
make it available for user interaction and I don't remember how we grayed it
out in the first place. We have user groups that need that enabled, but it
seems to me our overall security posture would be better if we allowed users
to enable it as they need it instead of globally enabling it just because a
few users need it.
Can anyone tell me (1) how we grayed it out in the first place and (2) how I
can make it available for user interaction?
