Trying to build a map

Hi --

I'm taking a Divemaster (scuba) class. Part of the course involves mapping
an underwater area; object 1 is a certain distance from another, on a
magnetic bearing of 70 degrees, object 2 is half that distance on a magnetic
bearing of 146 degrees, and so on.

Is there a way in Visio Standard or Pro to place two objects on a document
so they're lined up at a specified angle between 0 and 359 degrees?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

Draw any arbitrary line (or a line that starts at your starting point)
and use the Size & Position window to set the length and angle. I'm not
sure if there is a way to automatically "half" the length of the line,
but you can do it manually, then place your object at the end of your
new line. Delete your original line, or re-enter the data for the new
line.
There may be easier ways to do this, but this has worked for me.
I hope this helps!

Hello --

Many thanks for explaining -- that's exactly what I'm trying to do!
