Trying to connect BCM 2007 to SQL Server 2008

I am trying to connect BCM 2007 to SQL Server 2008.
No luck...
What are the steps for connecting ?
I presume some of this has to do with permissions. I am using both products
on a single computer, with VISTA as the OS.
