Trying to Create a report for Time Billed vs. Time allocated

Hello -

When trying to create a report for time billed vs. time allocated I'm
running into data differences and wondered if anyone had the same.

Using the MSP Timesheet view, if i choose actual work billable, I get the
timesheet value (which I want) if I choose Planned Work nothing appears.

If i choose a different cube and select the "work" value I get the hours
estimated, but no cube offers both the optins of work + actual billable work.

What is the difference between work and planed work? and does anyone know
how to get both the work and the billable work in one view?

I've downloaded the SDK and am not finding it clear.

Thanks for the response, I have been using that cube and running into a lot
of problems.

1. Planned Work - has a 0 value for every resource
2. The "work" column has sporadic values for the resources when in fact work
is assigned
3. If i use the resource list certain resources do not show up, whereas if i
use the timesheet resource list all resources show up.

Is this happening to anyone else? Have you had this happen? It's making a
lot of manual work and I can't seem to figure out why.

Hi Alison

MSP_Project_Timesheet is a virtual cube which combines EPM_Timesheet,
Assignment Timephased and Resources Timephased and it does have a few
issues.
1)It won't contain timesheet data for admin time or time not booked to
tasks (i.e. booked to project) - only Timesheet cube includes all
timesheet data.
2)It won't group on custom project or resource attributes

Work is "planned work" so not sure what field you are referring to
You can check what data you have by creating a simple report which has
either resources or projects as a dimension and Work and Actual Work
billable as columns

The only way I have found of getting complete data is to build a
custom cube, conatining all time, and custom attributes
