Trying to delete Office 2000 SR1 and SR 1 Disc 2

I cannot uninstall Microsoft office 2000. I keep getting
an error that I am missing a file. I have searched for
the file, I believe it is a msp file, but it is nowhere
to be found. I have tried everything I can think of.
Also, since I tried uninstalling and then restoring, now
a windows installer screen keeps coming up and I cant
stop it from doing that either. I am hoping that you can
give me some idea as to what to do as I dont want to re
format and lose everything. I want to uninstall all of my
office products and install something different.

PS.. It now tells me that the patch package cannot be
located to uninstall. Any ideas??
I meant to add that I purchased this computer with this
product on it and all I am trying to do is delete it. I
dont have access to the disk or CD Rom to delete it.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Thank you for such a well thought out and reasoned
answer. I hope you didnt spend too much of your valuable
time coming up with that gem! I was once told to never
argue with an idiot because they will bring you down to
their level and beat you with experience.
