Trying to get date to auto fill in header of Word 07. Any Ideas?

Anywhere but in the header (thanks to your tips!) I got the date to auto fill
by typing the first few letters, enter, backspace, and enter again. But in
the header nothing...Not even the month when you type Janu. Am I missing
some little checkbox that is not checked somewhere? Any assistance is
greatly apprecitated! Have a wonderful day!
