I put together 3 views in Data Analysis utilizing 3 different CUBES.

MSP_Timesheet Cube, MSP_Portfolio_Analyzer Cube, and MSP_Project_Timesheet
Cube.

In the MSP_TimeSheet Cube view, I have Time by Month in the row list,
followed by Timesheet Project List as a secondary row item, then Timesheet
Resource List as the 3rd row item, then Timesheet Class as my 4th and final
row item. In the data fields, I have Planned work and Actual Work Billable.
We are using this information to report to Accounting department for
timesheet info.

In the MSP_Portfolio_Analyzer view, I set it up very similarly...that
is...month as the first row item, Project List as a second row item, Project
Classification_project field as the 3rd item in my row. Data fields have
Actual Work, Work, and Resource Plan Work.

In the MSP_Project_Timesheet view, I set it up similarly...that is...month
as the first row item, Project List as second row item, Timesheet Class as
3rd row item. Data fields are Planned Work, Actual Work Billable, Resource
Plan Work, and Work...

So...hopefully you can see that I'm trying to draw some conclusions about
how these fields map to each other, because Microsoft sure doesn't do a good
job explaining them...so...

First my observations:

looking at the row for January...
EPM_Timesheet Cube:
Planned Work = 512311.50
Actual Work Billable = 22080.80

MSP_Portfolio_Analyzer:
Actual Work = 12578.19
Work (I assume planned/scheduled work) = 65587.68
Resource Plan Work = 865.07

MSP_Project_Timesheet:
Planned Work = 9625.18
Actual Work Billable = 2782.21
Resource Plan Work = 865.07
Work (I again...think this is planned but can't be because Planned Work is
defined in this cube....so...help?) = 65587.68

Planned work <> Planned Work ?
Actual Work Billable <> Actual Work Billable ?
Resource Plan Work = Resource Plan Work (cool)

What is 'Work'?

Is there some sort of definition guide to all of these fields in these
"canned" MSPS Cubes?

Also, how can I have actual work all the way out in June? it's only March...

Just trying to figure out what to use for reporting actuals and projections.

Thanks again, in advance. Shawn
