Trying to go from Outlook Express to Outlook 2002 in Office XP Pro

I am using Office Express but wish to use Outlook 2002. Both are installed
on my computer along with Windows XP and Office XP Professional. I use MSN
and Time Warner Road Runner cable connection (Pop3) and Norton Symantec
products. Microsoft products are all up to date. When I switch from Outlook
Express to Outlook everything works except for the message that "MSN is not
available". I can work "offline" but can't receive or send e-mail. Internet
Explorer works fine. Outlook Express works fine. I have done all the usual
fixes - microsoft checked error message, turned off and on etc... Any ideas
why the pop-server does not override microsoft?

If Norton is configured to scan your Outllook emails, you should first
uninstall Norton, use the tool available on Norton site to completely remove
your version of Norton. Once done clear temp files & reboot.
Then reinstall Norton *without* the outlook intergration.
Av app's frequently cause problems with outlook, if they are intergrated
with Outllook to scan emails. Its not neccessary since the AV real time
scanning engine will pick up any nasties that try and install.

Next test your accounts, within Outlook, or if 2002 doesnt have this option,
simply send an email to yourself.
Make a note of any err.msgs & post them back here.
For MSN: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287604
You should be aware if you open Outlook Express it *will* receive any email,
you need to give outlook a chance to see if its working, or giving any err's
