trying to help a customer with a template problem

When I attempt to compose a letter from the P drive
templates I am able to type approximately half the
letter. When I enter to advance the paragraphs, the
letter vanishes and I am throne back to the master
template file. A copy of the letter is saved but it is
not the latest format and does not contain the latest
information. This happened several times on Friday and
again this morning. I have restarted the computer and
this does not help. Any help you could offer would be
appreciated.
