Trying to insert an image as a stationary-header for my emails

Every time I select an image file to be the stationary, the new email shows
the image much larger than it was in the original document and tiled. I
shrank the image in the original document and that seems to help with the
re-sizing, but I cannot get it to stop tiling. I've tried making my page
size larger and smaller on the original image document. I created the image
in Publisher and have tried saving it as .jpg, .gif, & .tif; in publisher,
photoshop & word. None of those variations seems to help. Any suggestions
would be most appreciated!! Thank you.
