trying to install free trial of exchange server 2003

Hi,
Iam trying to install the free trial of exchange server 2003, downloaded from microsoft site.However the software has only the feature to upgrade from exchange 2000 to exchange 2003. Is it that I had downloaded wrong software or this trial version allows only to be upgraded.
Please advice.
