Trying to make stencil

When using drag and drop to make a stencil I am getting this error message
sometimes. "Visio Internal error #2412, action 1244; drop on stencil. First
try closing a reopening the file, Next try restarting visio" Why am I getting
this and how do I fix it?

Would you please specify which shape of which stencil you are dropping, and
please clarufy where you are dropping it from and to.
I could not find the document about the error you specified anywhere in the
web.

I have made my own drawing that I will use in different projects. I am
draging from open drawing into my shapes. I get the same error when I copy
and paste it to my shapes.

Do your shapes happen to reference properties on the page, in the document
or in other shapes?

Thanks, I had to go in and delete all other stencils I had saved during the
process.
