Trying to open Visual Basic Editor, Access Not Responding

Whenever I try to open a Module or the code behind a Form
and/or Report, Access freezes. I see nothing of the
Visual Basic Editor. Access is Not Responding, and I
have to kill it with the Task Manager.

I'm not sure if it's related to this issue, but the
Access installer box keeps showing up. The status bar
progresses and the window disappears. It doesn't keep me
from doing anything, but its very annoying.

In addition, I recently installed Visal Basic 6.0 on my
machine (again, I'm not sure if that's related in any
way).

It's been some time now, and I can't remember the details, but I do remember
having some problems with Access after installing VB6. Reinstalling Office
fixed it for me. If the problem first appeared after you installed VB6, it
may be worth trying.
