Trying to print a b ooklet, but it won't print in right order?

Frustrated!!

Hi, I am having trouble getting the pages in my boklet to print in the
correct order.

I have gone through off/online help, and here's the problem:

I have twelve pages in my document, which has been set up as a bookfold
document, with Sheets per booklet set to Auto under the Page Setup dialog box.

This is not a duplex printer, and I have worked out that when I put the
sheets back in to print side two, the first sheet out becomes the last sheet
to go back in.

I need the three sheets to print in this order, working from left to right
on pages:

first sheet to come out of the printer side one - Thank you's (left), front
cover (right)

Side two of this sheet - a biography (left), a blank page for sponsor ads
(right

Second sheet, side one - acknowledgements, (left), the programme (right)
Second sheet, side two - Senior Concert Band Playlist (left), names of
members of Saints Band (right)

Third sheet, side one - Jazz band Playlist (Left), Senior Concert band
Playlist (right)

Third sheet, side two - Intermediate band playlist (left), Names of members
of Intermediate band (right) .

Can anyone please, please help?

Did you create the pages in the order in which they should appear in the
finished booklet? It helps to deal with page numbers even if the pages
aren't numbered. The page pairs you should be getting for a 12-page booklet
are:

12 and 1
2 and 11
10 and 3
4 and 9
8 and 5
6 and 7

You create the pages in order, 1 to 12, and Word takes care of the
imposition. Manual duplexing is bound to cause frustration. You are much
better off printing the pages single-sided, then using a copier to duplex
them. Still, if your printer outputs in numerical order, face down, then
just putting the paper back in the printer should work, as it should also if
the printer outputs face up in reverse order. In neither case should you
have to turn the paper over.

Thanks Suzanne. This is such a huge help! It works!! (I also looked at some
of your previous replies on this subject, and that got me started. Really
appreciate your assistance.
