trying to publish

i'm going through the steps of publishing my website to
an ftp site (designed on Publisher 03). I've been
following the procedures listed in the "3 top questions
about publishing a web site". I've managed to create an
ftp site in the FTP Locations folder. Problems arise when
I actually try and publish the site - really step 4. I
double click the ftp site I added, then there is no
folder to double click - although a file name "index"
appears at the bottom. When I click save, I get the
message: Cannot save "ftp:/....../index.htm" The folder
is marked as read only. Not sure what to do from here?
Please help!

How did you solve this problem? Same is happening to me - would appreciate
your help.

I am having this problem trying to update. I can log into my ftp and
everything shows up there. But when I try to publish, the files are not
there?

are you prompted for your servers username and password?

this sounds like a host issue.

verify with your host that ftp access and permissions are setup properly for
your account.
