Trying to send Email as Attachment

When I try to send an MS Word 2000 Document "As an
Attachment" I get the error message


"THE OPERATION FAILED DUE TO NETWORK OR OTHER
COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS. CHECK YOUR CONNECTIONS AND TRY
AGAIN."

I need help with this problem.
