trying to send email not there

Hello when I send and received from outlook (v 2003) it is always trying
to send an email that is not in the outbox.

it tells me that there is an error in sending it but there I just nothing
there.

I have run a virus check on the computer and it is clean, I am not sure what
the problem could be,

help
