Need to setup a template for 11x17 double-sided, tri-fold newsletter but I
don't have an 11x17 printer. What is the best way to do this? I will then
take the print out and make copies on an 11x17 copier.

If you don't have a printer that can print 11" x 17", how are you going to
print it properly to copy it on 11" x 17"?

Set the page size, complete the artwork, save the file to transportable
medium in a format that can be used by whoever does the print finishing,
find a user or company that has access to a 'wide' printer, paper stock of
the size or larger (it could be cut down to size if required).. job done..

Publisher needs a printer set to the paper size before you can create a
document that size. When you consider that the program is for creating DTP
documents, that makes sense.

a) Design at 11x17, tile print out on 2 or 3 8.5x11 sheets, tape together
and copy.
b) Design and print at 7.12x11, use the copier to magnify it up to 11x17.

You can create a page of any size using custom - then when it comes to
printing you can set the paper size to match and set the page size to full
page.

Publisher lost its printer dependency at Publisher 2002, IIRC.

:) Never thought of custom. Custom to me meant other than the standard
sizes. I really need to learn to think outside of that box. The problem is I
like my box - it's taken me years to get it decorated so nice!
