I'm trying to use the "Insert - Form - File Upload" field. I am able to
create the field, but when the public goes to use it, it causes a "server
login" screen to appear.
I have done some research and it looks like the folder that I designated to
receive the uploaded images needs its properties changed. However, when I
right-click on the folder, in Frontpage, the checkbox "Allow anonymous upload
to this directory" is dimmed. I followed the help section and confirmed that
we meet all the criteria (see below). Does anyone have any other suggestions
of things I can try?
CRITERIA:
* For security reasons, some server administrators do not allow you to
set the properties for the File Upload command. If the File Upload command
appears dimmed, see your server administrator or Internet service provider
(ISP).
* For you to use the File Upload command, your Web site must be located
on a Web server that is running FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions from
Microsoft, SharePoint® Team Services from Microsoft, or Microsoft Windows®
SharePoint® Services. Ask your Web server administrator or ISP whether your
server is running one of these technologies.
* The File Upload command is not supported on a Web site that is hosted
on a server running FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions from Microsoft.
* Site visitors must use Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later or
Netscape Navigator 2.0 or later to upload files by using the File Upload
command.
