Trying to update

R

Rose

I have just had my computer cleaned up, as in everything
purged. Now I am having problems downloading any service
packs. The error I receive is: Q311967_W2K_SP3_X86_EN.EXE
File is missing export NTDLL>DLL:_allmul.

Does any one know what this is, or what I can do to
download the service packages. I am quite a novice at
computers, so a step by step answer would be appreciated.

Why did you have everything purged or cleaned up?

Whatever you had done is probably the cause of the problems.

Hi Rose,

That appears to be a Windows 2000 update.
You may want to check http://windowsupdate.com
However, depending on what software you used to
'clean' the computer, it is possible that the
registry may still be showing an update in place
that has been removed and the results may not
be accurate at the update checker.
