I am having problems setting up my exchange account. My provider advises
against a manual setup and recommends the AutoConnect feature. The first
time I tried resulted in disaster. Outlook crashes, no connection to my
server, etc. I am trying again.
First thing I see is that "an encrypted connection to my mail serever is not
available"
Next I try using an unencrypted connection -- results are: "problem
connecting to server" I am being, at this point, encouraged to manually
configure server settings.
I have been provided the following information:
Configuring your Exchange Client manually.
To configure your Exchange Client manually use the information below:
MS Exchange Server Name: EXVBE014-15.exch014.msoutlookonline.net
Server Domain Name: EXCH014
Server IP Address: 207.5.72.45
When I manually configure and "check name" I receive an error message "the
connection to MS Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or
connected to complete this action? I cannot seem to get past this point.
Should I be using the Exchange server name above or ???? Sorry to appear so
dense. Any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
