I ave Visio 2000 and I want to design a frame made from 1 inch square steel tubing, which involvs angles and mesurments. any help Thank You

Visio is really not the proper tool for this, although I'm sure you could
manage a close approximation of what you want simply by using line segments
and dimensions.

Any true CAD program. If you don't want to spend the big bucks (AutoCAD,
Pro/ENGINEER, etc) your best bet would be a low-cost solid modeler, such as
Alibre (www.alibre.com). There are other options, such as AutoCAD LT
(inexpensive version of AutoCAD) and TurboCAD, which may work very well for
you.

Visio is an excellent tool for diagramming, architectural floorplan layouts
and *some* light CAD but in this case I think you'd be better suited looking
at alternatives. Check out http://www.cadalyst.com/cadalyst/ for more info.
