Turn of security notice when hyperlinking to local drive folder

That warning can't be turned off. If it could, MS would get blamed if
another "Melissa" virus or something similar started making its rounds
again.

The purpose of that warning, annoying as it sometimes is, is to ensure that
the user is sure of what s/he is doing. IMO, the file being on a local
drive doesn't afford any additional security confidence in it.

How is opening a hyperlink to a hard-drive file any less safe than opening
the same file by double clicking on it in Windows Explorer?

It is in fact safer, since if I put a link to one my files, presumably
I know what the file is about: that link did not appear on its own-.
And this confirmation it is annoying and superfluous.
