Turn off Auto Date

Every time I try to print a saved document the date changes to the current
days date
automatically. I have un-ticked the box at insert/date & time but the date
still changes.
How can I turn off this function completely??

I can't tell from what you say is the problem but you may be un-ticking the
box after the date field has been inserted. That can't undo what has been
done, namely, to insert a changing field.

Delete the date you're talking about and then go back and insert a new date
with the box un-ticked. That date will be unchanging.
