Turn off Voice requirements warning?

T

Tim Wiitanen

Hello,
I recently installed office xp. Quite often when I open an
office application I recieve a popup warning stating:

Speech Recognition System Requirements, then it says
Speech Recognition requires a 400 MHz Computer with 128 MB
of Memory.

How can I turn this warning off? I am not trying to use
voice recognition, nor do I plan to.

Thanks for the help!
(PS.. Love these groups!)

On the Tools menu, ensure that the "Speech" option is not set.

What if "Speech" is not displayed under Tools... and it has been removed through Add/Remove Programs Change\ and so on ..... ??

We need this warning to go away especially having the amount of users in our organization

Is there reg fix to clear it issue??? or some other option that is not obvious?

Please help

Hi Alex,

Generally removing the 'Alternative Input' items from
MS Office through Add/Remove Programs and restarting the
PC clears this, although you may want to try a repair/reinstall
of Office from there as well.

You may also want to check the Text Service applet in the control
panel. The speech engine can also be installed through Windows
