Turning off a required field

How do I turn off a field on a form that Access is recognizing as a "required field". This field should be optional, not required.

Mrs Bynum,

The first place to look would be the design view of the table, and see
if the Required property of the field is set to Yes.

The "required field" status comes at the table level. In
design view, check the underlying table properties for
that field and set Required to NO.
