turning off auto correct in outlook 2003

how do i turn off the auto correct feature that capitalizes the first word of
every sentence and proper nouns? i have tried everything but nothing seems
to work.

That's a Word feature, not an Outlook feature. Are we to assume you are
using Word as your editor? If so, have you tried the Word Autocorrect
Options...?

Outlook's mail editor has some autocorrect features as well, like
capitalizing the first word of a sentence or the first letter of some proper
nouns. Click Tools>Options>Spelling>AutoCorrect Options
