Turning off AutoCorrect capitalization doesn't turn it off!

I frequently get auto-capitalization where I don't want it, e.g. after an
abbreviation (this "after" would become "After" on account of the preceding
period), or when I'm entering mathematical notation such as the index "i",
not first-person-singular. I've turned this feature off under Tools, Auto
Correct Options, but when I re-enter Word 2003, this has no effect, although
the auto correct box remains un-checked. I find no place to tell Microsoft
that there is an error in their code, so I report this as a "suggestion"

Don't know why turning it off isn't working. Until you can fix it, the Undo
key (Ctrl-Z) will undo the effect and let you keep typing.
