Turning off autocorrect for Tables

Good morning readers,

I wonder if someone can help with the following issue.

I am aware of how to turn off the automatic starting of sentences with
a capital letter, and have done so (within
'Tools'/'Autocorrect....'/'uncheck Capitalize first letter of
sentence'). However, even though I can now write like e e cummings in
the body of my text, if I so wish, I appear not to have that option
when I am entering text into a table. Is there a separate preference
setting for "Tables" and if so, could someone please tell me where it
is?

Thank you.

One solution for w2004 could be:
*Make a table
*type some letter a do a space >word will atomaticaly capitalize the letter
but small autocorrect menu will apper. You can set there Stop
autocapitalizing first letter....

The problem is you cannot turn it back on, then...

Yeah, that's one of the absurd oversights that has plagued a lot of Mac Word
users. As little_creature explained there's not much can be done... Other
than go to Word's Help menu & send a complaint to MS via "Send Feedback on
Word". If enough people complain perhaps they'll get it right in 2008 :)
