Turning Off Delete Issues Functions

Hello,

Is there a way to turn off the function for deleting issues? This
seems like a bit of a suspect function to me. You can create an issue,
track its history and then anyone on the project team can just delete
it.

My client would like this turned off. I was thinking of removing the
option by customizing the Menu. Is there are way to remove delete
issues from the Project Manager and Contributor groups on Sharepoint?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you can go to: Windows SharePoint Services
Manage User Rights for Virtual Server

Unselect the check box for Deleting Items.
