How do I turn off the Office Genuine Advantage Notifications (KB949810)
update notification?

It is driving me bonkers and I do not want to install it!

And before anyone gets all high and migthy about how I *should* install it
to prove my copy of Office is genuine I'd like to say I DON'T HAVE MS OFFICE
NOR WILL I EVER HAVE IT!!!

Surely there must be a way to disable this. I can't imagine Microsoft would
do something as asinine as require people to install updates for software
they don't even have and never will have. All this update will do is waste
space on my harddrive.

Someone please tell me how to disable this garbage.

You go into WU or MU update and select """Hide this Update'' after expanding the +
sign beside the update
